Today in History: Voting Rights Anniversary

On February 27, 1922, the U.S. Supreme Court in Leser v. Garnett upheld for the first time the constitutionality of the 19th Amendment, which was proposed on June 4, 1919 and ratified on August 18, 1920:Happy Suffrage Upheld Day (yes, I made that up . . .).
