"A Private Invitation From Tory Burch"

I received an email with that title this morning inviting me to join "Team Tory," an online community that Tory Burch "is creating in an effort to learn more about [its] customers."

Pre-vegan, I loved Tory Burch. I have three pairs of shoes and was seriously considering purchasing a handbag and matching wallet. Post-vegan, I still love Tory Burch, but I am disappointed that I can't buy most of her products. I browsed through Tory Burch's website this afternoon -- there is a dearth of vegan options. Almost all of her clothing incorporates silk or wool (I admit, some of her dresses and t-shirts are cotton), and, putting aside the flip-flops (I own a pair of these as well), I cannot find a single pair of shoes that does not incorporate leather. Seriously, the rubber boots have a leather trim! Ditto on her handbags, wallets, and other accessories. The totes, which I love, have leather trims too.

I joined "Team Tory" in order to tell Tory (and her team) to please make some vegan-friendly clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories options. I certainly would buy at least one, possibly more, of her signature flats and awesome totes if there were vegan options. I wrote "Team Tory" a letter to that effect, but I figured I'd mention it here as well.
